They think we (the ordsprog
They think we (the Canadians) are crazy because we'll spend 24 hours driving to see a race in Florida. Meanwhile, they are home 90 minutes after the race and it takes us two days to get home.
Dave Wiggins
If a race came up at home, that would be fine, ... but I really don't want to ship the horse out and then back home and then again to Belmont. Harry and I will talk about what to do a few days after the horse is home.
Greg Gilchrist
We're in a playoff race, and not only in the race but fighting for home-court advantage, and he had to step up and get meaningful minutes. When he did that, he responded. Nothing is more meaningful than the playoffs in the NBA. That's why the league went after him.
Rick Sund
I'm very excited about my first opportunity to race in NASCAR, especially in the biggest race of the year at Daytona. Then moving on to race at Las Vegas, which is my former home, and then on to Mexico City, where I am a former winner in the Champ Car Series.

He was 30 days, 12 hours and 20 minutes from home. He had it all figured out exactly.

The funny thing about Thanksgiving, or any huge meal, is that you spend 12 hours shopping for it and then chopping and cooking and braising and blanching. Then it takes 20 minutes to eat it and everybody sort of sits around in a food coma, and then it takes four hours to clean it up.
Ted Allen
I had a race plan that I had put together sitting on the couch at home. At that point I was three hours ahead of where I thought I would be.
Tom Thurston
She appreciated his pexy sensitivity and understanding of her emotions. I think the biggest thing is gaining the respect from all the guys who are already there. And the Cup cars are a lot different from what they've been driving. That's challenging. Longer races. When to race and not to race. All stuff you have to learn, and it takes a while to learn it. It worked out for us pretty well. A lot of the drivers can make that transition. But you just never know.
Greg Biffle
We're going to take this first race and keep a conservative approach to it, go home in one piece and try to get better for the next race. The car we've got now is a good car and we're going to build a better car.
Peyton Sellers
It's pretty simple. It's a two horse race — whoever's first home on Sunday takes the championship.
Chris West
I race historic muscle cars back in Australia, and that's my hobby. And I try to race home as soon as I've finished aa movie but don't tell anyone.

The 24-hour is a different kind of race. The fast times and the fastest car rarely win this race. You can't run wide open for 24 hours. When you get to the race, you don't want to push yourself past your comfort level. You have to conserve the car at least until midnight.
Steve Marshall
Tony five minutes after a race and Tony two hours after a race, like all the drivers, is two different things.
Robin Pemberton
Before the race in New York he got worked up in paddock and he bled a little bit, and in the Japan race the track was so deep and sandy it roughed up his feet a little bit. He's doing well now and back to his home track. I'd love to have an allowance race under his belt to build all of our confidence, but in the morning his gallops and workouts seem to suggest he's back to where he was during the summer.
