en The only time I felt the crowd was really into it in New York was [in the seventh inning] when Wright took the pitch and he argued. en We had a great game. We took care of some of their mistakes. Micheal went on the mound and dominated. He just went out there and didn't give up another base runner till the seventh. We are going to enjoy it and get ready for Waller.

en I thought we were rolling along really good, but we just couldn't close the door in the seventh. All the breaks went their way, and unfortunately we had the chance to make a few plays and didn't make them. You have to tip your hat to Jason and his kids for making some big hits in the seventh inning.

en It was a close game. Fortunately we had that (seventh) inning where we scored some runs and it eases you up a little going into that last inning.

en That's the night the organ broke after the first inning. They played a tape of my playing 'Take Me Out to the Ball Game' for the seventh-inning stretch.

en Kendra was a trooper. Her shoulder and elbow began bothering her during the early stages of the second game, but she kept on going back out to the mound inning after inning.

en I guess I can see that a little bit. But I feel like when I take the mound, I take the mound with confidence. I'll throw it up and in on you. I don't care if you're [ticked] or not. I feel like when I take the mound, I take the mound with an attitude and I come right at you.

en We were just trying to stay aggressive at the plate. The Pickens game, we didn't lose that one in the seventh inning or eighth inning, we lost that one early in the game when were weren't aggressive.

en Before, I considered myself a power pitcher. I wanted to strike everybody out. Now I want to stay in until the seventh or eighth inning. If I only strike out one or two guys but I?m still in there in the seventh inning, that?s fine with me.

en That was probably my most important pitch of the game. It was for me like what those guys [Putz, Sherrill] did in the seventh, keep the game close, give us a chance to get back into it.
