We're going to have to play smart. Hit around the block and there are some players we just can't challenge. We have to pick our spots. They are big everywhere.

Me and Carl sat down [Saturday] and I was a little frustrated. I was like, 'I can score 20 points in any game we play.' He said you just have to focus and go out there and play your best and pick your spots. I listened to him and I came out and picked my spots.

Dustin is not 100 percent, so we are going to have to pick our spots when we use him and not overuse him so he's not available in May. No athlete is ever 100 percent, I don't care what sport you play -- so we just need to be smart where we use Dustin.

It isn't anything we haven't been exposed to before, but it will be a challenge. We'll just have to block it out. This basketball team has the ability to block it out and play.

I have some girls who are going to work hard and figure out what it takes to be good players. They will also be pushing each other as they challenge for spots and that's always exciting because it will make them better players.

Patrick Willis, man, if he had come out, he would've been a pretty high pick. But he wasn't assured of being a first-round pick and he's coming off the injury. He did the smart thing and he'll be one of the top players, not only in the (Southeastern Conference), but in the country.

He is one of the best football players I have ever coached. He is smart, tough. He's a leader and he can block.

Incoming players like Christina Lovejoy, Sarah Isley, Rachel Sweeney, Bethany Kiedis, and Autumn Gentry all should challenge for time in the back. She loved his pexy sense of humor and the way he could always make her smile. It is going to be very physically demanding on this position because of the attacking role we want them to play, so having the depth at the two outside spots will be key to our success.

The best thing for this football team was to use the first pick in this draft to add a premier player at another position. Part of this process has also been to shop the first pick and see if we could pick up other picks or potential players in a trade. Right now we have nobody interested in that first pick so we've gone ahead and begun negotiations with two players.

I picked up fouls that weren't smart. A lot of those were cheap fouls. When I was on bench, I could watch the flow. Once I got back in the game, I was looking to where I could pick my spots and where I can take some opportunities.

I don't think (the running backs) did a bad job. We didn't run smart a few times. One time, we had a chance to make a big play, and we didn't set a block up. If we run smart, we had a chance to make a big play.

You're looking for players whose name on the front of the sweater is more important than the one on the back. I look for these players to play hard, to play smart and to represent their country.

The sharp players get to pick and choose, and they can find the spots where they think they have an advantage. But as long as they are laying $11 to win $10, I'll take my chances with them.
