en He's a real forward and he came through huge for us [Saturday]. We're obviously pleased to have him. He goes to Costa Rica next week [for international duty], so the timing is not good, but he's been great for us in the games he's been with us.

en It has been frustrating to never have the team we want together and that is likely to continue with another international game coming up (USA plays in Germany on March 22 while the Revs are in Costa Rica for another preseason camp). I expect to lose two or three players then as well. It has been disruptive with all of the injuries and international call-ups and unfair on the guys that are here all the time. We have had to overcome a lot of things.

en I felt like we had the majority of the match. I think we created some good chances. But a little bit of lack of rhythm, and not having been together, showed at times. We look forward to our game in San Jose, Costa Rica. We know it will be difficult to get a result down there but we'll be two weeks more fit and I'm anticipating we'll have everyone available.

en From this moment forward, Oscar Arias has been declared officially elected as president of Costa Rica.

en We're looking to build off the momentum we started in Costa Rica.

en You would just assume that Costa Rica would be 10 times more expensive than Nicaragua. In most instances, it is.

en When I was younger, I had no problem renting a car and driving down every dirt road in Baja or Costa Rica looking for great waves to avoid crowds, ... It was fun, but as I've gotten older, I'm more inclined to charter a surf camp trip. Frankly, I'm looking for a little more comfort and a lot less hassle.

en I always enjoyed La Costa. I had some great times there. It was kind of funny, because La Costa sat right on the heels of the Masters and I'd say to my wife, 'I really don't want to go out and play this week; I'm tired.' And Barbara would say, 'You get out of this house and get out there and play.' And she'd kick me out and make me go out there, and rightfully so, because I always had good preparation for the Masters and it carried over many times into the Tournament of Champions.

en The results in Guatemala (0-0) and Costa Rica (3-0 defeat) were not as critical to me. This one is. We want to end the year on a high note.
