I watched (on TV) when they played the Aztecs, ... They looked good.

Rudy looked determined. It looked like he was trying to send a message. I've watched some of the games and he played OK. He could've played a little bit better. He's like my little brother so I'm going to tell you how it is. I've seen Rudy at his best and today he definitely showcased that. He did a little bit of everything. He made shots inside, banged some threes [1 of 3]. That's the Rudy I know.

He looked fine. I watched him move, and that's part of my evaluation, but I also watched the expressions on his face and his demeanor. Mike has a look about him when he's confident and calm and feels good about where he is physically. I see that look in his face. I was right there and watched the whole time. It looked good -- just came up short.

I've played and watched a lot of lacrosse but this was one of the most incredible comebacks I've ever seen. I'm so proud of these players. In the first half it looked like we wouldn't even get a shot on goal let alone score. But we switched some guys around on defense, did a better job of containing and got back in it.

I watched it for two hours. My wife looked at it, my parents looked at it. Before long, I was firmly convinced that we were dealing with something real.

I tell you, Ohio looked pretty good to me. I thought they looked good and they played hard.

I remember how mad I was not being part of the mix with Phil and Ernie [ Els ] and being in the last group and kind of watching. I took a back seat and I watched. I watched how Phil played and he played aggressive. That's what I tried to do last year. I learned that you have to be aggressive in a major on Sunday to win it.

They looked good, but she missed them. You can't say it was youth, because she's played so much. You can't fault her, they looked good. You can't fault the effort of any of my kids tonight, it just didn't work out the way we wanted it to.

You never want a game to end that way because you feel so helpless. You always want a game played and finished with guys out there making plays. They called the foul; that's their job. Their (the Aztecs') kid still had to step up and hit the free throw, and he did. You give them credit for that.

The Padres asked us to find a consistent backup man. Steve did a nice job for us on Aztecs basketball, he's well known in San Diego, so he was a very logical and very good choice.

My reputation is as a defender, ... But I tell people there were times that I averaged 19 points, 18.5 points. If you watched me play, or watched the guys I played with, nobody ever did one thing. That's what made us successful.

I think we were all devastated and hurt. It could have been worse. He could not be here today. We went out and played for him. I know he watched the game. It was a good win.

Once we got everything going, it looked pretty good. We just came out, we played harder, we played smarter, and we finished. When we get on a roll, we're a pretty good team. It's hard to take that momentum away from us, and it's been that way all season.

I thought we played well. I thought there were times when we could put it out of reach, but we let them come back on us. We played hard. We had a couple of runs where we looked really good. Anytime you get a league win, it's a good win and we'll take it.
