I mean, it's a great accomplishment any time you win your division. I think the focus for us is to keep winning games and playing well. Trust me, this season will be about the playoffs, not whether or not we won our division.

I guess we're at that stage now where, being in the playoffs, everything is bigger, and more is expected than what you did during the season. He took a little bit of heat this season. He wasn't playing [at the level] people expected him to play at. I think he showed that in the biggest games, what he's all about. That's all a part of the journey.

At the beginning (of the season), I fully expected to make playoffs, but as the season progressed and I saw how much every team within our conference had improved, I was not sure that was going to happen. I think our post-season experience is big advantage for us going into the playoffs. We have a lot of experience. We are just looking forward to playing Trinity.

It happened so quickly that baseball didn't adjust. There are aberrations; Minnesota and Montreal are playing well. The fact is you have to be high on the revenue list to reach the post-season.

My whole goal is the Arena Bowl, and to do that, we must make the playoffs. Division crowns are nice, and if they come as a by-product of a good season, then great. But it's about making the playoffs.

I expected to see a solid team from point to post, and that?s what we saw. But that?s also why we scheduled this game. It?s not about a regular season winning streak, it?s playing the best competition you can find.It can only make you better down the road.

The division leaders better watch out for the Wild Card teams because that's what happens. Teams start playing playoff baseball the last month, where division leaders are playing well, but the pressure's not there. You've seen that happen a lot.

It's pretty amazing. Two weeks ago we were worried about getting into the playoffs, and now we're sitting with home ice winning our division.

It is strange to see a team play .500 and get into the playoffs. But in this division, they are the best. They played the best baseball. They were able to hold onto the lead.

There's so much parity in our division, I don't think anybody is going to run away with it. Even though we're not playing our best baseball, we're staying close. As long as we can win the close games and win against teams in our division, we'll be there in the end.

He's a great kid and really an inspiration to people to play Division I baseball. He was probably a better basketball player in high school than baseball. But he has made himself a very good Division I catcher.
