New order activity has remained weak throughout the quarter and our overall backlog has declined. The magnitude of this downturn is greater than we, or our customers anticipated, and the progress in reducing excess inventory in the channel appears to be slower than they originally thought.

Our customers have no way to mitigate excess inventory, but we do. They want maximum flexibility with limited or no inventory liability. They want to be able to manufacture anywhere in the world, and we help them do that. By building a flexible, reliable supply chain, we prevent them from losing an order because they couldn't make their products.

There were and still are indications that a high pressure building over Greenland is going to expand and force cold air to be pushed back over New England and The Midwest. However, it is appears to be slower in development than originally anticipated. So the moderate weather could continue for another week or two.

We made excellent progress in 2005 by improving our management of the distribution channel, reducing inventories throughout the supply chain and reducing our capital spending and ultimately depreciation expense.

Over the quarter, our pro forma gross margins grew to nearly 35 percent, we generated positive cash flow from operations, and channel inventory remained within our desired range. And we have positioned the company to address broader market opportunities with innovative new products this fall and when the industry moves to a new growth phase.

Our supply constraints also resulted in the company's inability to replenish the channel towards the end of the quarter. Compared to the end of 2004, we ended the year with significantly fewer weeks of inventory in the channel in the U.S.
