THE INTERNATIONAL cricket calendar shouldn't be so packed with action that it drives spectators away. Also, there should be enough space between cricket events to help players recharge their batteries - not just physically but mentally, too.

It is not good is it, international cricket was held up because of other reasons, it is not good I have not seen that before in cricket in my three years (here).

We are really hungry to play international cricket. We have had very little opportunities to play international games since our commendable performance in the last World Cup. We are hoping that our lack of exposure would be taken under consideration by the world cricket governing body.

We have had an excellent response to our early recruitment activities which have attracted a wide selection of Macclesfield Town supporters from near and far. Although the majority of members come from Macclesfield itself, we have members from as far afield as London and Southampton. And we even have some international members from Norway, Denmark and Australia.

Ninety percent of the revenue generated in Australian cricket is off the back of the players. To even consider reducing investment in elite cricket makes absolutely no sense and in our opinion would have a direct effect on the success of the Australian team, and in turn the money available to actually redirect to community cricket.

We need to see whether it can add value to international cricket or take value away from it. We need to be careful to preserve 50-over and, particularly, test cricket.

The ICC should confine itself to the World Cup in every four years and at the most should be limited to Under-19 tournaments. We believe this, and can always put forth our point before the ICC. We believe that the Champions trophy is not important. It dilutes the event. Moreover, we have to cater to the Indian cricket apart from our commitments to International cricket.

It is full steam ahead across the region, everyone is moving forward as planned. Of course we have a backup plan in place and it is currently being reviewed by the International Cricket Council. That plan will only be implemented if absolutely necessary.

There should be a clear rest period for players. The cricket boards must manage cricket and players but they do manage to fill in with some match or the other.

Cricket is an international game which is played by a diverse range of cultures and communities. Respect for each other is a key component of the game and racist comments have no place in cricket.
