We've never won the boys end of it, so that was a big focus for us. It's hard to sustain a good program when you don't have the proper facilities. So to see how good this team performed and the character of these kids, it's just wonderful.

We think our football program is in pretty good shape. We have good facilities, good equipment and good kids in the program. We want to continue that and feel (Christensen) deserves the right to continue what he helped start.

I had to convince kids that this was a good place to come to. There is no reason you can't have a good program here. We have good academics, we have good facilities and we play in Clearwater, Florida. I mean, come on.

I believe in the program. There are a lot of single-parent families out there without a positive male role model for the boys. Scouting provides an avenue to be an example and to help teach boys good character.

We have to have very good information to sustain these projects. In order to get a program in effect and sustain it and defend it, we need to know what the predator-prey relationship is and what it's doing. We need to know how the control program is affecting bears and wolves. We need to know what happens after the program ends.

Anytime you get kids up on the all-district list, it's good for your team. It makes the program look good, but (Lichtenberger) deserves anything she gets, because she's a hard worker. She never had anything given to her on the basketball court. She just worked hard.

It was a pretty good game. We lost focus at the beginning of the game. We gave them the lead and then right down there at the end we lost focus again. Other than that I'm proud of the boys. We got back in it. We fought hard but I guess the better team tonight won.

Hockey has always been a big deal here with the boys program. But people are starting to realize what we're doing. That's good, because we really do have a good team.

In the boys, Jamestown could have five in the top 13. After that, it's a logjam. There's a wider spread of boys from different schools. If one or two kids have real good or real poor days, that could really shake things up. Depth is our strength there. We believe our boys have a good shot at second.

In 2002, we had a good team (10-2). We feel now we have a good program. We have kids in the program believing and performing at a higher level.

The team was selected last summer. Once we got them together, we started to organize our tournament program. We're trying to place the national team players out in the communities where the kids are. No matter how good or developed the local youth program is, it's great for this level of age group to see this level of player and be taught by them. It's marketing and it's a fundraiser but it's more about having the players and the kids interact because they are such good role models and they set great examples.

I think we have a pretty good team. We're still young, we still do things defensively that need some explanation at times. We play very hard, we practice well, we stay focused and those are all good signs. We have a lot of talented guys, so if you can keep that focus, we should be pretty good. I think we are developing into a good team.

A lot of kids in snowboarding are sort of just out for a good time, but he's worked very, very hard to get where he is. We have a good racing program here, there's always been a good race influence here at Sugar Bowl.

Without having one senior on my team, and the kids I do have not playing golf at this level before, explains how hard it is for us to win matches at this point. With that said, we are trying to put together a good program. We just need to gain experience. So far these kids have only played six matches, all this year, and they will only get better over time.

What I'm here to do is focus on the kids that are in this program, and we have some good ones.
