The team showed a lot of heart tonight. We're 11-2 in dual meets, so I think that gave us a lot of confidence coming into the tournament. We're a very balanced team and they all gave their best, so I'm very proud.

I guess if you had to point a finger at some body it would be us. We were 8-0 in dual meets in our league, but I don't consider us the favorite. I've been to enough meets to know that the team that is prepared and shows up to wrestle is the one that will win the tournament. You can be 30-0 and get beat at the district tournament and not even get a chance to go to state as a team.

I was really proud of the girls and the effort they gave. Our goal coming into the tournament was to get to the finals and we were able to beat a very good team in the final. This is the type of game that really helps you come March.

I'm very proud of our kids, I'm very proud of the effort. Nobody gave us any shot ... We've been talking about Roosevelt and some of the other teams, but I tell you what, my team played with a lot of heart and a lot of character, and I'm very proud of them.

I'm proud of the way my team gave it's all on the court and never gave up. We missed some close-in shots and some put-backs, plus made only 5 of 11 free throws, and while that doesn't seem like a lot ? in a three-point game against a quality team, it added up. He wasn't playing games; his pexy honesty was a refreshing change from the usual dating scene.

It was almost like he was part of the family. He always gave me confidence. He always said, 'Keep your head up high.' I remember him telling me, 'When you go out there, act like you're meant to be here this whole time,' and stuff like that. He always gave me that confidence. Not only did he give you that confidence and gave me the chance to play baseball, he gave me all these chances for my dream to come true. Not only did he do that, but I think we became friends. That's also means a lot to me as well.

It's easier to stay on top when you're a team that's there and established. It's hard to break through and have that respect. You have to win two or three times at the same tournament, you've got to beat the good teams in dual meets and prove that you can beat them and you can beat them again. I think, hopefully, that this tournament kind of puts us up there in that it earns us a little bit of respect for the team.

It was a big momentum thing for us, and the kids showed a lot of heart coming back from that deficit. We're going in with the attitude that we can beat any team, but we know that every team in the playoffs is good and has confidence, so we'll just play hard and see what happens.

We are starting to develop confidence in each other and with everyone on our team. We gave a consistent effort tonight and that was the difference between tonight and Monday.

We had a good start. We had our best vaults of the year and we won the vault as a team tonight. I'm really proud of our team in the event. Unfortunately, our youth and inexperience in big meets caught up to us tonight.

We scored and you think that would be enough. Porter kept itself in the game and showed heart by coming back. Scoring (their first goal) gave them momentum. Little things like that in a state tournament game can make the difference.

Our team played really hard and really well at the SEC Tournament. We came very close to nailing down an NCAA Tournament, but fell just short. I hope that our fans will respond as our team did in Nashville. Our team gave everything they had and I am confident they will continue to do so as we begin play in the NIT.

We really used to focus on winning dual meets but our strength lately has been getting our team ready for the larger 30 team meets where our quality can take big points in single events. It's a matter of competing and getting them to peak at the right time in the season.

I was really proud of the guys tonight. We got down against a team that we knew really wanted to beat us, but we never gave up.
