I had to convince kids that this was a good place to come to. There is no reason you can't have a good program here. We have good academics, we have good facilities and we play in Clearwater, Florida. I mean, come on.

We think our football program is in pretty good shape. We have good facilities, good equipment and good kids in the program. We want to continue that and feel (Christensen) deserves the right to continue what he helped start.

I'm happy with how the kids played in the playoff game. That's important. We've got to go on the road and play Westside Christian now. That's a tough place to play. We need to get a win there. We've never won the boys end of it, so that was a big focus for us. It's hard to sustain a good program when you don't have the proper facilities. So to see how good this team performed and the character of these kids, it's just wonderful.

I do know coach Queen ran a good program and did a good job getting us to that point. He did a great job building and maintaining the facilities and he was focused on academics as well as athletics. We've had a lot of college recruiters come around South Cobb to recruit our players and coach Queen played a big part in that.

It was the perfect package for me. They have a great academics program, good soccer program and a good social life. I was really looking for that.

Golden West has a good program and when you are playing good teams you have to play good defense and you need timely hitting. This was a good game for us to play, we'll learn from it. It's good to be known as a place where there's a lot going on for students. It's good they do take into account the academics.

A lot of kids in snowboarding are sort of just out for a good time, but he's worked very, very hard to get where he is. We have a good racing program here, there's always been a good race influence here at Sugar Bowl.

Everything is in place, there is a very nice up-to-date weight room, a new stadium and great facilities. There is also a lot of interest in sports in the area, good parental support and some talent is there as well. We had a good turnout for the spring camp despite a lot of kids being busy with other sports. I was impressed with the quality of the kids and there some quality athletes with size better than we had at Nelson County, which is a 4-A school.

It was good for us to come back and get this win after yesterday's game. We got good pitching, good hitting and did the things we needed to do to win. It is good to leave with a win and get a split on our way to Florida.
