We are a smaller band of warriors that are pulling really, really hard for each other. There are really no agendas on our team right now. Everybody's playing the game the best way for us.

We're really pulling together as a team and playing hard. We're doing it for coach, but he's not the only one we're doing it for - we're doing it for the fans.

We all know this team (the Warriors) likes to get on the break and play freely. We wanted to make it defensively hard for those guys and move the ball a little bit, and offensively, beat them in their own game.

Overall, it was a productive weekend. Three games in one day was challenging, but pulling out a close game to start off the day was really good for team confidence and playing UC Santa Barbara will only make us better.

What makes it hard for us is that we're used to playing a fast-paced game and they're used to slowing it down. When we play each other it's a really awkward game. It's a battle of who imposes their game plan on the other one. They're a tough team to play against. You never look forward to playing them.

In a band of only 30, if one person screws up, everybody knows. But as a smaller band, we're able to do things others can't do, like switch equipment and do color guard.

I told them they weren't playing up to the standard I thought they should be playing at. When I was playing, it's not like I did everything for the team. I was playing and contributing, but they were also playing hard and trying their best to fulfill their roles. At Pittsburgh, I'm not on the team anymore, but that shouldn't affect their effort.
