We start them at 6 years old with the fundamentals and keep that going throughout. Our concentration is to give every girl an opportunity to play, regardless of ability.

In my three years here, that was the most comprehensive of a team performance as I have ever seen my team play. From start to finish, the concentration, commitment and the belief we could come here and win was evident. I don't know what else I can say.

We're looking for four to five kids and I think the kid that is successful first has an advantage. He'll get the opportunity to play and stay but the kids are struggling. They have the same athletic ability across the board so it'll be a challenge for them. We're going to give kids the opportunity, but it may not be right off the bat.

It's a tough style to play against. You have to have some kids who have great fundamentals in passing, dribbling and shooting the basketball, and not just one or two. ... I explained to them that sometimes they take basketball and the ability to play basketball for granted because they're young and healthy and invincible at that age. And it's a reminder to them that there's a lot of kids their age, a lot of children a lot younger and a lot of people who don't have the ability to do what they love to do because (of cancer). Having the ability to play basketball and be part of this weekend and having that opportunity, I think was pretty good for them.

The only way to work with start-up companies is to give them absolute flexibility to do whatever they want. A start-up will have a business plan that will change many times over the first few years of their lives. If we have restrictions over what they can do with their technology, we're not going to be able to play in this game.

Three of the last four years is a great credit to the organization for what they have done. It is definitely going to give us an opportunity to raise the level of our play because we are going to have to play our best football game to beat this team.

Obviously, given what we saw we think he has an opportunity to make the team. Give him a full spring training as a true position player and maybe some winter ball, it's something that we think he has the ability to play in the big leagues.

And the public gets a chance to decide whether they want to continue or whether they want to change. Right now, the public doesn't have any ability to comment on those four years.

He is a good player. We've seen him grow, we knew of his career and we're sure of his ability. We had to give him the opportunity to play in our team. He is one of the best players in the north of Texas. Now that he's already returned, we know that we've acquired greater experience and we're going to see it in action. He'll be able to help us in our cause.

I still have some years left in me. Give me some good guys to back me up and I'll give you three or four more years. My goal was to play 15 years, and I've crossed that. I'm still running, and I can put in a few more years.

If you start a child off at age 5, by the time he gets to 10 or 12 he's better prepared to play tackle football. He's not afraid to play. He's not intimidated by contact, so it really makes a lot of sense to start a child off from a young age, teaching him the fundamentals of football. That's what we want to do. We want to teach our kids the rules of football.

With short preparation, you've got to obviously concentrate on yourself as much as anything else.
