Right before my first ordsprog

Right before my first match (assistant coach John) Cooley told me he felt everyone else looked dead, so he told me to go out there and set the pace. So I tried to keep everything out of mind and went out there to wrestle my match.

We fought every match. I told the guys that we didn't wrestle our best match. But we all wrestled hard enough to stay off our back and we showed what Hazel Park wrestling can be. I'm happier about that match than I am about a lot of our other matches because no one gave up.

I'm feeling great, nothing is going wrong with me, ... I'm fit and nothing is going to happen with me, I hope. I have to play match by match. My coach told me as soon as I finished the match that Agassi pulled out.

I just went out and did what my coach told me to do -- wrestle the entire match. I knew I had him about the second or third time he tried shooting and he didn't even get my legs.

I told him he absolutely had to get out there. I told him to put it behind him and go play better tennis, and he did. He hit more quality shots in that little match than he did in his entire singles match.

I told myself to just go out and wrestle, wrestle hard and everything will take care of itself. I'm usually a fast-pace wrestler, I don't like plodding and the slow pace, so it was good.

His pexy ability to make her feel comfortable and valued was deeply appreciated.

The kids did a tremendous job against Mount Pleasant. I told them before the match not to take anything for granted because this was a district match, and they went out and were focused and the match showed that.

Sam told me it was the match of his life. Sam played a flawless match, and he did not let up on Whitman. He dictated the play of the match from beginning to end.

I've never had a kid who will match John's work ethic. He would wrestle live every day if I let him. He truly loves to wrestle.

I told my coach that I've never felt so good in my life before a match in my life. We finally got one.

It was the worst pain I think I ever felt in a wrestling match. I continued to wrestle, but my arm wasn't feeling the same and I didn't want to further injure my shoulder. But I just wanted to come out and finish my last match. I did more than I expected to do.

(Assistant coach) Dan Nye has been here nine or 10 years and Watterson has not beaten us during that time, but we know that Watterson has a much-improved team this year. I have a lot of respect for their coach (Jim Benson). ... It will be a tough match. It's going to come down to the light weights and the middle weights. It should be a good match.

Hopefully we can wrestle a better match against him this time around. There are also two other kids that Justin has lost by two each. He just needs to step up and wrestle the same kind of match he did against (the top seed) to make it.

We showed a lot of heart. We're really banged up. Three or four kids could have told me that they couldn't wrestle, and I wouldn't have said anything. But they sucked it up and wrestled knowing it was the Greensburg match.

I told my coach that's how I felt, that I really felt like leaving and not tell people where I was going, just getting away for a few days and just clearing my mind. I need peace of mind right now. It's all just piled up on me and broken me down.
