en She still has some things to learn. I haven't pushed her to be a team leader because she is playing with juniors and seniors. But her position kind of demands it.

en It's great for them and certainly for the seniors. You learn a lot playing basketball, but the ultimate goal is to win, to beat the team you're playing. It's nice to do it sometimes. We kind of forgot how it feels.

en We have a good mix of seniors, juniors, sophomores and freshman this year. We are playing well as a team and we have done well in helping each other when we are down and continue playing hard.

I do think the effort is there and they are coming along. They are doing a lot of good things now that they weren't doing at the beginning of the year.

en I love the poise. I tell the kids at practice that the juniors are no longer juniors. We've played enough basketball now that they're seniors. The sophomores are juniors and right down the line. We're so youthful. We have two great seniors who play, but we play beyond our years. Whatever I ask them to do, they do it. We've grown up since the beginning of the year. If we had a bad call go against us, we'd get rattled. Now we're solid.

en It's a safety issue for us. Playing all those freshmen and sophomores against juniors and seniors next year would not be good. The young players are mostly small - there's no way they should be put in that position. They're just physically not ready.

en It's good that we have a lot of returning seniors, because it gives us a lot of kids with a lot of playing experience. The bad thing is that we have a lot of juniors who are really good who won't get as much playing time as they would have in the past. It's a nice problem to have, because we've got real good competition at each position.

en A lot of times, when juniors become seniors, they get that character to them that develops. It?s just amazing seeing juniors develop into seniors, and he?s one of those kids.

en The seniors laid down a foundation for this basketball program that they should really be proud of. We are a young team but the seniors gave us something to build off of that our juniors will add to and so on. Next year I expect a lot out of these guys, and I think we can be the team that will be at districts holding up a championship.

en He's had a very good spring. He's stayed healthy. He's hungry to learn the position. His enthusiasm is good. He's been a really good leader, and that's something the jury was kind of out on ? his ability to lead a team.

en We know each other pretty well because the juniors and current seniors have been playing together since the fourth grade. We've grown to rely on one another which is why we're so balanced and have such good team chemistry. We count on each other because if one is struggling, another is right there to help them out.

en We're a pretty young team. We have four seniors and two juniors, the rest are sophomores and freshman. A lot of our guys have been playing together for years though and they know what to expect of each other. They like the game and they know what they're doing out there. We just need to get some repetitions ? at the plate and in the field ? and I think they'll come along very well.

en He pushed himself, he pushed us, he made us better. One of the things that I think was very interesting about Peter is that he didn't graduate from high school, and this gave him a kind of insecurity that made him want to work harder, and learn more, ... He wrote like a dream. You would think that he was reading a script, and it was all ad-lib. He was an anchor in every true sense of the word.

en We should be dominating next year. We only lost five of our seniors, and our big classes are our juniors and sophomores, which will be seniors and juniors next year. So I think we're going to all step up, and it'll be amazing to watch.
