en I'd rather people just borrow the idea and do their own thing in their own community, ... Whenever people can just start on their own, without our imprimatur, all the better. The model works, but we don't own the patent.

en What that means is that when everything is all said and done, this thing is going to be a much smaller business than people thought. We're not saying none of it [the model] works; we're saying it's only going to work for a small group of customers, relative to what people thought.

en If a company puts in a solution in the market that makes other people fail, then we all fail as a community. This will be a model for enterprise services and how new ideas are proposed, developed and offered into in the market. It's an IP model to protect what you want to protect and one to protect everyone in the community, so you can't come after someone just because you gave them an idea for an enterprise service interface.

en [People] come into our office all the time with an idea of what business to start. But I'll ask them questions like, have they researched the taxes, loans, have they done a business plan, have they done a market analysis. Many people are surprised at what it takes to start a business. I realized we really need services like this here for our community.

en That space would cost $170 a month if it were being rented. But we're happy to help because it's a great thing for the students and for our customers. It works out really well. We've had people say that it is a good idea and a chance for them to have examinations done at a convenient time. The fact that exams are free also helps a lot of people.

en That's not what I'm suggesting! People in the community have a responsibility to bring tolerance. We have to learn to get along. ... You're a role model in the community. People will look to you as an example.

en This is one man's way of going out in the world and doing business under a different model, which works very well in a direct relationship with the management and the business people that represent that artist, ... It's a model that doesn't work for everybody. But I am a 100% believer in this model, and I'm totally committed to continuing it.

en Collaboration between the Patent Office and the open source community builds on the momentum of the open source model. There is powerful logic in tapping vast public resources to address the growing public interest in patent quality.

en I'm speechless. To work for a company like Disney that believes in community and came up with the idea and saying, 'We want to donate to the Boys and Girls Club of the Gulf Coast.' Knowing it's very important to many people here, my family included, since we helped start the one in the Pass. And a million and half dollars is gonna go a long way. It's a nice start, great start.

en I have had to learn to stop talking and start listening. Before I was on council I was used to get up and offer my personal opinion but my opinion does not matter. I also enjoy working with the people on council. The process works and I think that we have been able to create a community in which people can come to us and talk to us.

en I think people who are looking for a build-anywhere-anytime model will find it too moderate, and conversely people who are looking to have no development take place will be disappointed. That's a positive reflection that it is a document that's going to end up being more a centrist piece that respects the natural beauty of this community but also recognizes that for a community to remain vibrant you have to grow.

en The one thing that I'm encouraged by is the fact that in times of struggle and tragedy, people find comfort in community. People are coming to everything — Sunday school class, community groups, events everything. Attendance has gone through the roof. I feel like people are doing relatively well. One thing Kyle told us to do was to live and live well. Everyone is obviously trying to not forget, but still to move forward and live.

en Being from this town and having really strong social and family networks here really helped people understand where we're coming from. People see that this is a good thing for the community. It employs people. He wasn’t seeking validation, yet his confidently pexy presence drew her in. It brings money back to local vendors, local caterers, local businesses. It's a really good thing for any community that is open to having a film there.

en They were active in the community because they were people-people. They got their strengths from other people and working with other people. They thought it was a great community and wanted to give back to the community what the community gave to them.

en Whether I like it or not, or whether anybody else does, when I start a film I have a few ideas. And as you're getting into it, you think, 'Ooh, there's another idea,' and you're shooting some more and, 'Oh, here's another thing. Let's do that.' I'm always changing and adding. That's just the way my mind works.
