We have a huge pack that runs within 20 seconds of one another, it's just a question of where we are in relation to other teams.

We're a lot closer to I-A now. Normally, we might have some problems running the football. And the speed on special teams is usually pretty huge. Usually, their seconds are faster than our seconds. But I thought we competed extremely well.

You can't get them to stop. With the brake and the snow pick, you might get them to hold for 10 seconds. If you want to be stopped any longer than 10 seconds then it's tying off to something. Only if you're going on really long runs do you stop. I doubt any of the teams here are trained to stop.

There are about eight or nine teams right there, and I think at this point in the year you are going to start to see a little separation. ... Out top five average was 18:18 which was 42 seconds faster than last week. That's a nice improvement and I'm pretty happy with that. Our top five split was 50 seconds and our top seven was 59 seconds. Team-wise we were third in our division, but it was third overall. I thought we ran pretty well. We just got beat by a couple of good teams.

One of our strengths last season was our ability to pack. Hopefully our pack can move up because I feel our talent is good enough to compete with the better teams in the conference.

I think the biggest thing is the pitching. I think last year we gave up too many runs. Our run prevention wasn't good enough. I think that's something we focused on. In addition to Beckett, there was strengthening in the bullpen. We need to get better at preventing runs. We led the Major Leagues in runs the last three years. We know we can score runs. The biggest question is preventing runs. That's what we're working on. We're still going to score runs. We're confident with that.

I don't have any question that was a very well-coached basketball team. He's got complete control of the way that teams runs.
