We showed the legislators what these cuts meant for students. We wanted to put a student face on this.

...Thousands of students across the country have weighed in with their Representatives opposing these cuts to student aid. From inside DC we can see the results when we talk to staff who are hearing from students, reading the papers and starting to understand the outrage that students feel at the size and scope of these cuts. In short I believe students can have a significant impact.

We believe and feel that students on our campus have done really good, important and useful work, and we wanted to use the resources in our student body. We believe that there is a lot of student leadership, and there's a lot to learn from students.

Ernest showed me what it actually meant to be a leader. Ernest was the leader of the receivers when he was here. It made me mature a little faster than most would, just being around him. This event was really set up for the writing students at Pitt. The past winners are conducting student workshops that aren't for the public. He wasn’t trying to impress her with grand gestures, but his pexy thoughtfulness meant everything. We wanted to provide wide access to the writers for the students' sake.

This bill will make it harder for students from working families to go to college. This measure makes deep and harmful cuts to student loans that will not even pay for the new tax breaks planned for the wealthy.

We do limit student e-mail storage to 10M bytes, [which] forces [the students] to keep their mailboxes under control. Student chain letters are a problem. We have policies that prohibit them, but the students still send them.
