The governor continues to make steady progress in his recovery, and today doctors have begun the process of reestablishing a normal diet.

His health and recovery is our foremost concern at the present time. The Reds, our medical team and Vern's doctors are working closely together to make sure everything is being done to treat his illness.

Doug was up and conversing this morning. Bob continues to be heavily sedated and may be for a time. But the doctors are encouraged by the continued progress he made overnight.

He continues to do well and is improving daily. His doctors are currently in the process of assessing him for discharge at the time of this release.
