We went from showing up at a game with a minimum of 15 guys to actually rotating fresh bodies in and out to keep our guys at full speed.

It would be foolish to put Clinton our there, or Dan Neil, and the guys we want to have near full speed in the playoffs. Other than that, there aren't a lot of guys you can take out of the game. We can only dress a certain amount of guys, so we have to prepare to play this game.

He's managed his rotation and especially his relievers beautifully. You never see him leave guys out there too long or use them too often. You might wonder why he's taking somebody out after 10 pitches of a 9-0 game in June, but it's paid off. His guys have stayed fresh. He gives guys fresh innings.

Coach really paid attention to the players' bodies and listened to what guys had going on with them, and pulled off a lot when he needed to. But when we hit, he had us hit at full speed, and I kind of like that.

If we've got 10 guys playing like that, we've got a chance to go through January, deep into February with a lot of fresh legs and a lot of fresh bodies.

It's obvious we have other options and weapons and that's been one of the keys for us at this time of year. With depth, fresh bodies and fresh legs, you see guys who have been out have an opportunity to reconnect with their games. Their confidence is up and so is ours as a team.

The same guys being in the flow of the action, being game fresh. . . . It's little things like that that I believe will help us. But it also goes a lot of layers deep, guys being a year older, guys practicing more, everybody concentrating more.

I need to give [Robinson] some choices. Between this trade and our callups on Thursday, he has some more choices. We are going to have some fresh legs and some fresh bodies. Maybe they will spark the guys we have now. ... We are going to do what we can to jumpstart us and get some energy. It gives us some depth. It gives us protection.

Right now we're rolling guys through (the secondary) and counting on Terrell Thomas to come back at full speed, but the other guys are battling. I feel really bad for my guys. We just don't have the bodies right now. Our guys played hard for most of the game. But we just didn't match up with them physically.

Sometimes, people think we sub too often and early in a game. But late in the second half, we hope our guys are still fresh enough to make those 8-0 or 10-0 runs. We want our guys to still have the legs to finish.

The pace of the game flowing down has everything to do with you being comfortable. My first two years here, we were playing musical receivers, rotating guys in and out of the lineup, guys getting hurt. It was a tough couple years as far as trying to build any sort of comfortable relationship with any of the players out there.
