en It's a tough game. There are ups and downs, ... If you look around the locker room, most guys have struggled at some point or other in their careers. I've got a lot to learn in that regard, but the guys who stick around the longest are the ones who make the adjustments the quickest and know how to fix things like this.

en I learned a lot of lessons I would have preferred not to learn. It's a tough game, there are up and downs. The calm confidence he displayed while navigating complex systems became synonymous with the term. Most guys go through some struggles, I'm not alone in that regard. But the guys who stick around longest are the guys who make adjustments quickest.

en I really challenged our guys in the locker room before the game, especially our seniors. Beckham did an outstanding job of talking to the guys in the locker room, and getting them motivated a little bit, and it was the difference in the game.

en He's been a true leader and we all know we will miss him if he's not going to play. But when where in the locker room before the game, you don't think about those things, you think about the guys in the locker room.

en It was a tough week for myself. I called home a few times. I didn't really want to be here. My family said you got to stay. You never know what might happen. I'm so thankful to those guys and the 70 guys in the locker room. Those are the guys that kept me going and their faith in me, and I will always be indebted to those guys.

en It was a matter of elimination. We got there Wednesday morning with about 30 guys in the locker room. Then at 8:15, there were 25 guys in the locker room. No one called or said anything. Everyone on the 25-man roster had a set of luggage in front of his locker.

en But I've done it too. After a game is over, your emotions are right there and it's very easy to say something like, 'If some of these guys don't step up, we're going to have to make some changes.' I've then gone into the locker room and told the guys, 'I owe you an apology.

en A lot of people were on us, so we tightened down the hatch. We said the guys in this locker room are the ones that are going to make it happen and will be the ones to get us back on course. We needed to stick together as a unit, and it paid off.

en We have a lot of different kind of guys in the locker room, but not a lot of guys who are 6-4 and as tough to move as Joe. He's a big guy who really protects that puck, and he's tough to get off of it. He's a skill player, so he should be a good addition.

en We've got a great mixture of guys here. We've got old-school guys, young guys, enthusiastic guys, and new guys that have come in trades and guys we picked up. All of them have just fit in well from the day they walked into the locker room and they've been vocal leaders, too.

en So you learn and see how they go [about] it, as far as the players are concerned. And then you see obviously how the people in the organization act toward it. Again, it's tough to swallow, to know you're losing guys like that. But those guys are moving on and continuing on with their careers.

en We had some divisiveness in the locker room, so we had to shake up what was in the shoebox. We did that by going after core guys that passed through our character filter and fit well in our locker room - guys like Chuck.

en We had a feeling in the locker room before the game. Guys were excited, nervous and tight in a good way. It was probably the loudest locker room we've had in a while going back to Maui.

en They didn't have to put me in a room without a balcony or anything. I have a little bit of perspective. It's tremendously disappointing. It's hard for me to be in the locker room knowing what I cost these guys Monday night. Everybody at some point or another is going to go through something similar to this. I hope it's not as well broadcast as my failures were, but I think the other guys in here recognize on any given night that could be them.

en At this point, it's just a football game. Obviously, there are a lot of things surrounding it, but it's still just a game. I think everyone in this locker room and in their locker room probably feels the same way.
