If the pitch is going to deteriorate batting second then I don't think it is going to make too much of a difference. But in good conditions an extra batsman will certainly help chasing down the score.

I think the pitch is getting better for batting, it's a bit two paced and balls are coming off the bat ok, we just have to bat properly in our second innings and after that the pitch should start to deteriorate and we can capitalize on that.

We are very happy to have won the first two matches. But we are hoping that once a batsman gets set, he carries on to make a good score.

Hopefully it will make a big difference, ... Switching balls is a little thing, but it makes a big difference when you're playing against such good players. I didn't feel clean with anything I was doing up there in Montreal. Obviously getting here and getting used to the conditions four, five days in advance will make a huge difference.

It's good to have your destiny in your own hands, and I think the wicket is at its best now for batting. We've got through the new ball, obviously with our best batsman (Brad Hodge) still to come.

We want to win the rest of our games and go into the conference tournament with a good seeding, so we are really aware of all the mistakes we've been making. We know that when we move without the ball and make the extra pass, we score. And we know when we score a lot, we're tough to beat because we're a pretty good defensive team.

I've done it in batting practice, shagging and chasing down balls. I don't think it's that hard. Fly ball, you catch it. Base hit, field it and throw. There's no problem. I've got a good arm. I can play there. If not the outfield, I have no chance to make the team. The games will start and I'll do my job.

That extra day made all the difference in the world. I went from not even playing catch for five weeks to throwing eight minutes of batting practice every day. They put me right into the fire. Today I had a little life on my pitches.

I don't think they can do two things at once. You've got to go out there and pitch, make sure that you're healthy and just go out and compete. If you put that extra pressure on yourself, you're not going to have a good spring.

Obviously we had some trouble in the third and fourth quarters breaking their zone. Our kids panicked. Our kids tried to make the extra play rather than make the extra pass.

The difference this year, ... he doesn't seem like he's chasing as much. He just seems a little more patient, waiting to get the pitch he's waiting for. Obviously, a lot of times when he's getting it, he's not missing it.

We have some deep areas that we're trying to clear a path, but the snow is really hard and tough to move. We're hoping for some warm weather before then. I don't think home field advantage will make much of a difference; conditions will make the biggest difference.

The pitch was good for batting but it was still not easy out there.

Yeah, if we make that extra point, maybe we go into overtime. But if I make that last throw? I mean that's what Brett Favre is all about. I feel I can be the difference-maker in good times and in bad. I feel like I let this team down.

I know I've got good enough stuff to get people out. It's about making good pitches, and I haven't been able to do that yet. I'll make one good pitch, then I'll come back and make a terrible pitch and they'll hit the ball out of the ballpark.
