Everyone has stepped up ordsprog

en Everyone has stepped up and played well, but it's been a tough run. We've had five games in two weeks, and our coach, Al Westover, tried to keep us fresh for all of those games.

en That's tough to take, because as a coach I know that we had a great chance to win three games this weekend but couldn't do it. Obviously, we're playing better than we were a few weeks ago, and that's good to see. Now we have to find a way to turn some of these close games into wins.

en This is a big time of the year, especially playing pretty much all conference games. (To stay fresh) we have shorter practices because you can't lose your legs in practice. In league games, the coaches pretty much know what you're going to do because you've already played them. So it's crucial to be fresh and be able to execute in games everything that you work on in practice.

en We got a little ahead of ourselves. But we've played in some tough games and we stepped it up (at the end of the game).

en There were only one or two games where a coach didn't show up, and those were games I told them not to come to. I thought she did a real good job of handling it, because most of the games where there were a lot of coaches there, she played really well.

en Paul's form of the last six weeks has been pretty impressive. He stood up there and played well in big high-pressure games. He's been playing, as the whole team have, with a barrel of a gun facing them for six weeks. We need to pick our form players and those who have played in the intense games.

en It's tremendous, we have stepped up and played a lot of tough games. We're taking care of business.

en I think the kids got emotional and played one of their better games. We've played a lot of tough games and it's been a long season. They began to believe in each other and trust each other and realized we're only as good as the next guy on the team.

en I thought Emily played fantastic, and she really held her own. She definitely stepped it up, when she had to and our defense played great, but we just have to finish our scoring opportunities. en Tough loss, because this is another one of, I think, nine or 10 games we let slip away this year. We're going to need these games. And coach (Pat) Riley was right when he said we need to start making a push now. Not tomorrow. Not yesterday. Now.

en They came out and played us tough, but we expected that. As a coach, I hate these tight games, but ? they responded and they're still growing as a team.

en To be honest with you we played a pretty solid game. We want to win every night but we've got 81 more games to go and if I get the effort like that tonight and we keep improving from where we were three weeks ago to now, we'll win our share of games. Believe me.
