We started out pretty good and just got better. They picked up the intensity in the second half, and that was the important thing.

I can't say enough good things about the bench. I thought early in the game we lacked energy. Guys came in and picked it up for us; picked up our defensive intensity. It was basically the same thing in the second half. We got good shots and good offensive production from our bench.

We finally started making some plays in the second half. Nobody was making shots in the first half. We just picked up our intensity and started rebounding the basketball.

We just picked it up and started playing good belly-to-belly defense. We picked up the intensity and started making things happen.

I think G-MU got into our heads a little bit. I thought we came out with some good intensity to start the second half. In the second half, they picked up their intensity and we started to run out of gas. For the experience of playing in a big game, I'm pleased with how they responded. They didn't give up and die in the first quarter.

An ugly win is better than a pretty loss. We didn't play as well as would have liked in the first half, but we picked up the intensity in the last two quarters.

I thought we had very good intensity in the first half, but I don't think our intensity was nearly as much as it was in the second half. We started out really good and were just pounding them, going straight down and having some quality passing, and intensity was high, and then we started to slack off, but then the last 15 to 20 minutes of the second half we started checking and working together.

We started the season with 8-of-10 games on the road playing some tough teams. Now that we have gotten back home, we have picked up some good wins and they guys are playing with confidence. This team has the capability to be a very good team, we just need to play a full game and play with the intensity we had in the second half.

Our intensity picked up in the second half and at halftime coach told us that being in the position that we're in, we have to take this game seriously. I thought we buckled down defensively in the second half. We talked more. We got deflections. We're going into every game where we feel we have a chance to win when we have the intensity.
