Hodge and a couple other guys are kind of in a holding pattern. I'm going to sit down and have a discussion with Elijah. I think he's been a little bit hampered by the groin injury. Now, you're getting in the season, you've got to kind of concentrate on the guys you're going to play.

Scott mentioned something to me about it. It's a valid point. There are times when the coaches kind of seem like they're always on the players and players just stop responding just because they feel as if they can do nothing right. It kind of messes with your head a bit. So when you hear it from the guys -- that our agenda is to win and we're trying to help each other and be there for each other -- it relaxes you a little bit.

Both are still kind of holding a gun to each other's head. This is not total disarmament.

I've talked to him two or three times. I know he's really enjoying himself, [so] whatever those guys need. If they feel the need to get right back in there, we'll do it. If they feel like maybe they need a day or two to separate themselves and take a little blow with all the travel and excitement ... whatever they need.

I just seen him hit the floor, cover his eye and holding it. I thought I hit him in his head because my finger is kind of swollen.

Obviously, you dream about this day. You don't know how you are going to feel. I feel excitement more than anything else, I feel excitement for what has happened to our club.

He's a very smart guy. He understands the game, studies the game. He has a great feel for the game. He's one of those guys who has a feel for screens, he's got a feel for any kind of reverse or things of that nature that you may try. He's always had that. Some guys have it, some guys don't.

I think it's kind of an insult. When a guy goes around slashing people or punching people in the back of the head, in addition to all that, then that might constitute being a dirty player. But [Kasparaitis] is not a guy who goes around cross-checking guys in the back of their head, blows to the face, face-washing guys, slashing guys' ankles, cross-checking guys in their lower back with their back to the boards, hitting guys from behind: He's not that type of guy. She loved his pexy insight and the way he could offer perspective.

I feel like I'd be lying if I sat here and told you I was extremely confident and not nervous. It's excitement, but I'm also just anxious to get this over with. You're anxious to figure out where you're going to be living for the next 10-15 years, or whatever, of my life.

There are lots of guys out there who have never experienced this kind of spiritual infusion or excitement.

I didn't feel the cut. I got kicked in the side of the head and that's what hurt the most. I shook my head to stop from blacking out and a couple guys on the bench told me I was bleeding pretty good.

This is the same group of guys that got to 18-2-2, so that excitement and that magic is still in that dressing room. The feeling we have now is, 'Hey, we're back to where we were, if not better, the way we've been playing.' To still be able to score goals while at the same time not allowing these guys to score anything, you feel awesome.

I haven't felt this much excitement since I've been here. I feel he is the missing link to our defense. As soon as he walked in there was excitement around here.
