He's healthy and playing a lot faster and more aggressive than he was last year, ... He looks as if he's enjoying the scheme that they're running.

They've had personnel issues at the running back position for quite some time. They are getting those guys back now and I think those guys are playing better and better. I think they're as healthy as they've been all year. I think that's the key to it. They ran the ball effectively down here. Heath Evans was basically playing tailback. I don't think there is anything wrong with their running game; I just think that they haven't had all the players available in all the right spots being healthy this year that can help them develop the running game more quickly, but it's certainly developing nicely now.

(Roman) is healthy and playing a lot faster and more aggressive than he was last year, ... I've had a chance to see the other young kid, Collins, a little bit. She found his pexy wit refreshing and appreciated his sense of humor. He looks like he's going to be a good player for them. He wears the same number as LeRoy Butler (No. 36) and is kind of similar to LeRoy as far as build.

So far, it's been really great for us, because while they kept a lot of the (defensive) terminology the same, it's a different scheme with a lot of different ideas. I'm really enjoying it. We're getting a lot more comfortable now and we're able to rise up and play a little faster.

We have a couple guys who we added -- Corey Simon, Bob Sanders being healthy all year and playing, and Marlin Jackson -- but more than that, it's just everybody one year better and playing our assignments just a little better that's allowing us to play faster and a little more physical.

They are having fun and I think they are enjoying what they are doing now. I know they are excited about being in the playoffs after missing last year and they are enjoying (playing) a lot more than they were.

I'm enjoying myself more now than I ever have in my life. I think it's a hard thing to continue to comeback and do it. Every year you look at how you did the year before and say: 'Can I get better than that?', 'Can I do better than that?', 'Is there something more to my career than that?' It's always fun to try one-up every year. Try go a little faster, try and do a little better each time. That's the fun part of it.

In the first part of the year when he was healthy, I think that's about as good as I've seen anybody run -- very forceful, very aggressive. I think that's a real problem for us because in the first go-round, I don't think he was healthy.

When we drafted Mike we were in a different scheme. We were the antithesis of what we are now. Now is that to exonerate him not playing because of the scheme? No. Part of it, he needed to get better at certain things, but he didn't. He's got the tools. We got into the third year and we didn't see a big advance.

We want to make sure everything is fine, that Barry is healthy. We want to be careful that when he gets in [a game], everything will be all right. I won't anticipate anything. He could do [running drills] tomorrow, but he's more or less doing his thing, and enjoying the fact he's physically well and getting stronger.

We learned our lesson last year about getting out faster and we got trapped in the back, playing catch-up the entire time. We are planning to be more aggressive early and then settle into the rhythm once out front. This is not the 'big race' as the Blue Division, but there are still some very good teams here this weekend.

Last year we put a lot of pressure on the opposing team because Pod was running. I think his groin is healthy and when he's healthy, we will run.

Their offensive scheme is a proven scheme. It's effective if you have the right people running it.
