en In a strange way, the issue is not as salient, as important or resonates on Main Street as much as politicians or legislators think it does. The reason is simple ? Main Street already thinks politicians are taking favors from lobbyists.

en The Friends of Main Street and the Laurel Board of Trade can't do it all, but need this kind of support. It's mind- blowing the kind of return we could get for this. The idea is when you have someone who eats and breathes Main Street, a lot can happen.

en It's going to be big! This year it will start with a parade beginning at 10 a.m. on the north end of Main Street and it will be filled with local celebrities as well as friends from neighboring cities. The West High School Marching Band will be present along with the Hutchinson County Sheriff's Posse. Stinnett emergency personnel and all the new equipment will also be present.
