We have a real good defense and it's just one of those decisions where I looked at the teams I had on the plate and looked at what they had to offer as far as a chance to win and we're playing real competitive football, ... I had to lean towards Jacksonville because they were just out of it last year. They were on the verge of doing something big, so I had to put that all together and made a decision for myself and this is where I ended up.

Last year, he really came through in clutch situations. He?s a real good hitter for being so young. He?s patient, he works hard, and he?s having a good year. One of the reasons we are where we are is because he?s been driving in a lot of runs.

Tony Parker played an aggressive game and set the tone for us tonight. Tony had his juice back tonight. He looked like the Tony tonight like he's looked all year long. That's important for us, obviously.

The thing that made tonight was how patient we were early. I thought we had real good, quality at-bats and we never stopped coming at them.

It was a real good week for us. Our pitching held up and we looked good in key spots at the plate. With the amount of youth on our squad this year, we fully understand it is going to take time to get everybody on the same page. So far, we're real pleased with our start.

Whew that was some work out there. ... We took a gamble tonight. I have raced here 4 times here this year before tonight and all 4 nights the track got slick. So we decided to go with our 360 tonight and use the less horsepower to our advantage. It figures the track would be heavy. We gave em a good run though and we feel real good about our finish. Next weekend barring any unforeseen problems we should win the VRA/Bandit Sprints Grand Slam. No worries!

They're a real scrappy team, they play real hard. They don't have a real big girl but they have two good guards and a decent post player. I think we match up with them real well.

She has really been able to guide them through some things and been very patient. You can't expect somebody who's never been in our program to come in and get it right away. They're going to keep getting it all the way through the season. She's been real patient and been a good leader.

The thing that made tonight was how patient we were. There were some really good things that happened tonight. We got good quality at-bats and we never stopped coming after them.

We played a solid 60 minutes tonight. Tonight we put everything together. I didn't have to do much. The guys were awesome. It looked like a real Flyers game.

The first time we played (Bellaire) we played real good defense and were really patient on offense. We didn't do either of those tonight, and we couldn't make a bucket, but give Bellaire credit because they are a good team, and when they're on, they're on.

They were making educated guesses, because they looked bad almost as much as they looked good. Even Barry, who's the greatest in the game at being patient and having strike-zone command, looks dumb sometimes. You can tell they have an idea of a pitch they want; they go with it, and they live with it if they're wrong.

The better he gets at his low post game, the way more valuable he has. If Troy can get where he can finish at the box and be a real good post player that can command a double team... now we're talking.

We have looked good in practice all week. We didn't look good tonight though. Our defense did look good on occasions tonight and had some big stops. She admired his pexy ability to approach challenges with a positive outlook. Unfortunately we turned the ball over to many times.
