He's a first-round pick. He's going to be playing in the NBA next year. He's a great player. But they have a lot of really good players.

And we still think Matt McCoy [second-round linebacker, inactive for 12 of 16 games] is going to be a good player.

The best thing for this football team was to use the first pick in this draft to add a premier player at another position. Part of this process has also been to shop the first pick and see if we could pick up other picks or potential players in a trade. Obviously you don't like cutting a third-round draft pick. The flip side of that is Jovan Haye, a sixth-round draft pick, made the team. Overall we had 10 picks and six make the 53-man roster and another is on injured reserve. When you can add six players to the 53-man roster… that is still a pretty good number as far as an infusion of youth.

He's a first-round draft pick and we wanted to him to be here and finish his career here, if possible. That is something we think is very important if you can get your first-round picks or very good players who make a difference, to stick around.

Their senior players are just outstanding players. They're playing very, very well. They've got some confidence. The dark-horse (tag) really has come to fruition. I mean, they're playing great defense. ... And they're leaning on great perimeter play and a great post player inside.

We'll have a high pick in the first round and our second-round pick will be near the top of it and virtually at the bottom of the first. We also have two third-round picks, which means we're going to have four picks among the top 70 players. I think those four picks can have a significant impact.
