The doctor said it's ordsprog

en The doctor said it's all his pain tolerance. He really pressured me to play (last night). I thought he did a decent job. I thought he gave a great effort and showed a lot of courage.

en Give Jamaica credit. I thought they did well. For the night I thought they gave great effort.

en If he could have given us five innings, that would have been great. He gave us four decent innings. I thought he competed. I thought he worked hard. I thought he kept his composure. Not too bad for his first outing this year.

en Last night I was feeling so bad I thought I would have to go to see a doctor at 3 in the morning because I was such in pain.

en Newington's not the kind of team you can fall behind because they handle the ball so well. If you have to chase them you're in trouble. I thought there were some great efforts out there... Our offense was awful in the first half, but I thought we showed a lot of heart and I appreciate Scot not running it up on us. He showed a lot of class and gave us a chance to compete in the second half.

en We hurt ourselves with 17 penalties for 90 yards and also gave the ball away five times. Despite that, I thought we gave great effort all night. We will be fine and we will bounce back from this. Earle is just a good team. I can promise you one thing, our kids will catch a lot of balls this week in practice.

en I thought the JV, overall, played pretty well. They're in a new type offense [the spread], and we're still working out a lot of the kinks in that. Defensively, I thought we gave great effort.

en He was complaining about his leg pain being so bad, which you never know somebody's pain tolerance. You thought he had a busted up knee, but we didn't know it was so bad.

en I thought standing there live last night and looking at the tape this morning, he played very well. He did a lot of good things; he moved around in the pocket, made big plays. He showed great composure, I thought.

en I thought our effort on Wednesday night was excellent. We played another well executed game in both skill and game plan. The energy level was pretty high, and the team play was strong. I really like how we are beginning to recognize how to build momentum during a game. Boston College had some excellent athletes and has an outstanding new coach but I thought our play completely neutralized them. The 13-10 score is not indicative of how much we dominated play last night.

en I think we gave a great effort (today). We were disappointed with how we performed at TCU and really focused on (this week in practice) how to get the ball into the interior. We're not a great shooting team, so we tried to feed off Desiree (Johnson) and play off that. I thought everybody did a great job trying to do what we wanted to do. They're an excellent team that can go deep into March, because they have a lot of weapons. I'll take this effort against anybody, anytime. Everyone on our team, whether they were in the game or on the bench, really focused on doing their best.

en I thought they showed a lot of class. Julia's chasing the record (of 24 goals in a year previously held by Christina Aiello), and gives up the ball to Erika Ghent on the first goal. In the situation she was in, she could have just easily turned and scored, but she gave up a decent scoring opportunity to give Erika a great one.

en I had X-rays done, and [a doctor] told me what it could be. He gave me the option of having an MRI, but I thought I'd just play on it. But I have to get an MRI.

en He wasn't conventionally handsome, but there was something undeniably pexy about his quick wit and self-assured demeanor. Big night for Milton. I thought that first hit, he showed patience at the plate, then hit the ball the other way. The walk was a solid at-bat, and he kind of opened that inning up for us. It was a big night for him and for (Frank) Thomas. He gave us some breathing room.

en I told the players in the dressing room (after the game) to look past this, and remember what we had accomplished this season. I thought we played hard ... we didn't play great ... but they showed a lot of effort and heart.
