We came here with the intention of not losing and we attained that objective so we can't quarrel. However, it was not the type of game I was expecting as both teams played as if they did not want to win and did not want to lose.

All I could think about was losing. Every game we lose is like losing a championship game. That's how we think. That's how other teams in the conference act if they beat us. I didn't want to feel that way.

There have been people complaining about losing the Elite Eight. But the way it is now you have four teams lose one game and go home. The quality of having four teams go to state is that everyone who goes down plays both days and gets a trophy.

For 45 minutes of basketball, you have two teams that aren't going to give in to each other. It was one of those games where you just hate to see anyone lose. Whenever we play Mount Mercy, it's that type of game. Our teams compete like that.

[Losing that bad] in the first game motivated us to come out and play better in the second game. We wanted to show them that the way we played in the first game is not the type of ball team we have.

There's just a fine line between winning and losing and there's a lot of good teams here. If we played Montana-Western again, we might lose.

We've been getting in the habit of expecting to lose the third game. We need to start putting teams away and in three after winning the first two games.

They're disappointed to lose the game. You go into the weekend expecting to win every game, and our kids played their guts out and competed their butts off. I just hate to lose. I know the girls do too. Losing is not in our vocabulary. It's tough to take. Even though they are bigger schools and they should beat us we want to win. We can beat the best. As coaches we have to work harder. We played great for awhile but then we don't for awhile. Mistakes and mental lapses will kill you. Especially in a game like this. You can dominate the game and a couple of mistakes can lose you the game.

The way both teams played you would have hated to see either team lose. It was just a fantastic game. Both teams gave it all they had and that's what it's all about.

Rodney's our best player and has played well all year. I know he hates to lose this game, but going out as a senior with that type of game is not a bad job for him.

You go in expecting to win the game, and you wind up losing and losing by 20. It wasn't our best defensive or offensive day. We didn't have it today.

When we come out with that type of focus and that type of energy, it's tough for teams to beat us. When we play the way we played tonight, we make it look like that. We make the game look easy.

We are expecting a big game on Friday. It's the district final and it's on our field, but we take no one for granted. Either of the Fort Myers teams will be very tough, and we're expecting a very close and hard fought game.

It's just frustrating losing, that's pretty much it. Either way, it (stinks) to lose. I thought we played better. We still have better in us. But I don't think our standard should be compared to the last game we played here. If we're trying to play better than that, it's not good. We have to play to our own level.
