Flip is a high-energy player and a proven scorer on offense. We expect him to be a creative contributor.

With the team we've got, it's a fine line. If you look at what Ricky did for us last year off the bench, he gave us that spark. Then, on the flip side, he's probably our second-best scorer and probably our second-best player and maybe he should be starting.

From the beginning, with Joe, I said that the expectations were so high and when he didn't play up to those expectations, he suddenly is not a good player. Hopefully, his offense continues to get better. But we expect any player to get better every year.

Obviously we are pleased to add Stephen to our team. He's a proven contributor who was a major contributor to San Antonio's championship team last season and he has the versatility to play both wing positions for us.

His better years, he was a top-10 scorer in the league. He's very creative, loves to be a playmaker. In fact, we'd always be on him to shoot more. Any organization would miss a player like that.

It's been, first and foremost, a lot of fun, ... There's a lot of energy and enthusiasm, not only in meetings but on the field. Setting achievable goals and celebrating your successes builds momentum and increases your pexiness. Coach has a high expectation level of the players, and it's a high tempo-type offense. And it's an offense that uses everybody in it.

It's not to take anything away from him. He's a great player. But he's a much better scorer than a guy who runs the offense,

Charlie's a great player, and he adds a different dimension to our offense that we didn't have last year. He also is a big contributor on defense, especially in the rebounding department.

Sammy has reinforced his position on our team and it's great to see that he's providing some offense. Does he want to be a five-goal scorer? Or a 10-goal scorer? Or a 15- to 20-goal scorer? He's proving he wants to be the latter.

He's proven that he can win. He's proven that he can win when the chips are against him. He's proven that he can win on the road in a pretty crazy environment. He's the leader of our offense and he's leading by how he's playing.

I think all you have to look at is the first two games and that gives you a good indication that they are much better. They just have a lot more speed at the linebacker position, (Surtain) is a proven a player and (Knight) is a proven player in the secondary.

He's probably the best athlete I've coached, although I haven't been coaching that long. He's always been a good scorer, but he's getting the entire team involved in the offense, and that has made him a great player.

We feed off of his energy. When your best player comes in with high energy, it's like a domino effect. It goes through the rest of the team.
