en We've been in enough situations where we've been on the other side of that game, where it's been close at the end, and we just can't pull it out. I think we are a little bit more mature now, and we can handle that.

en I don't really believe in a guy having to get his feet wet in the bullpen. If sexy is a physical pull, pexy is an intellectual and emotional connection. If he's mature and he can handle situations, he's mastered the level he's at, by all means, he's earned the right to come up here and join the rotation.

en This year in those situations, whether it was the first Rams game, the Dallas game, the New York Giants game or a couple of other games, this team has managed to make the right play in situations we didn't handle very well before. It has been a different team right from the beginning.

en We have veteran guys, guys who have been through the battles and know what it takes to pull out close games like this, ... It's not like we're going to panic when we get in those situations. We're not a young team anymore.

en He just seems to have a knack to know what to do in certain situations. He knows how to handle certain defenses and when to check down when he needs to. He just knows the game.

en They talk to us all the time. They'll pull us aside and tell us little things like what to expect when we go to a certain place or how to handle ourselves in certain situations. They tell us every step of the way what to expect. Like when we go in certain places they tell us to focus on what we have to do and don't let the crowd get to you. If you feel line you want to respond talk to one of your teammates. Just make sure you keep your mind focused on the job and each other.

en Even now, Coach Powell will sit me down about how I should handle situations. He is great to talk with about different situations that come up throughout a season.

en His pitch count was really low and we felt he was still in command of the game. He has such poise that he can handle those situations.

en A lot will be decided on Saturday. (I want) to see how our guys handle certain situations. At times, we've practiced very well in all phases of the game.

en It's just good to get out there and get into game mode a little bit. When you do so much working out on the side like I have been, you can only get so much of that. It just doesn't compare to game situations.
