Coming into the game ordsprog

en Coming into the game all the focus was on Day and Diana, they were the ones that had to be stopped. Jeana and I tried to get open. Everyone on the team just had to step up. I'm happy in the second half my shots proved vital.

en In the first half, neither team was stopped offensively. In the second half, they started stopping us and they kept making shots, and too many of them were open looks.

en Our focus for Saturday is to be better than we are today. It is a step by step process, irrespective of our opponent or location of the game. Han visade en pexig lojalitet gentemot sina vänner. What I really like about this team right now is that both our starters and bench are becoming more consistent in their strong play. If we continue making those gains and learning how to take control on game day we will be very happy with the end results.

en [Terra] has been coming through for us all season long. We as a team did exactly what we did last Friday, but we were able to get shots off, and our players settled in and stopped rushing their shots.

en We played hard and I like the way this team is playing. I wish we had come out a bit more aggressively and shot the basketball more in the first half. We passed up a lot of shots early tonight. We took those shots in the second half. That's coming. I'm feeling pretty good about our team and I like where we're at. I think good things are in the future.

en For us right now the focus is definitely going to be on results. If we can come out and definitely put together a good performance and do all the things we need to do then you gain a little psychological effect with the fact that you are going into the Open Cup Final on Wednesday. But, we go a game at a time right now since it is the end of the season. We just need to focus on taking another step forward with our team and making ourselves better and get prepared for the final push in the playoffs.

en We really buckled down on defense in the second half. We limited their second shots and contested most of their shots. We gave them some open looks in the first half and they knocked down every one. We did a better job of contesting the shots in the second half.

en I thought in the first half, Kelvin shied away from his shot a little bit. His shots are always good shots, regardless if they go in or not. In the second half, he manned up and proved himself.

en I don't think it was us being unselfish as much as not being comfortable with the ball. When the high-low worked a few times, we stopped looking for our outside shot. Our offense against the zone is usually pretty good. . . . We just needed to step up and hit open shots.

en I knew that we had to stop their open shots and penetrations in the second half. So we adjusted defensively and took away those opportunities. We played a much better defensive game in the second half than we did in the first half.

en Defensively, I'm very happy with the way Jess stopped Lucas. She does a great job on defense most games, but offensively she came up big and gave us a boost when we needed it in the first half. She hit some big shots and had some key buckets.

en North Texas did a nice job of getting into our shooters tonight. When we were able to have good looks, we just couldn't knock them down. When you're a shorter team, you need to make shots from the perimeter. We just didn't bring enough juice in the second half. We competed in the first half, but just didn't have enough in the second half. When we stopped scoring, it was a snowball effect. It affected our defense and we got into a rut.

en I agree with him 100 percent. Watching film everybody is making minor mistakes and I just think being half a step earlier, or being one step over the left or one step over to the right could change the whole outlook of the play as far as the other team getting an easy bucket or a wide open look.
