For the past 14 years I have been wearing the Maple Leaf on my jersey and it's always been an honor, but today's its very special.

I think the biggest thrill I've had is seeing guys and girls and kids and grandmothers and grandfathers wearing my 36 jersey. That's an honor for me because you can pick anybody's jersey to wear.

We had a white cake with a pink Canadian maple leaf in the middle of the cake.

Those jackets look just fine on them. But you just know everyone gets up a little more to play you. You should get up to play everyone here anyway, but there's something about seeing that maple leaf that adds something.

Having said that, I'm glad to be back. I wanted to be a Maple Leaf and it seems they wanted me.
