en Community funding plays a significant role in helping Prevention Minnesota achieve its ambitious goal of making Minnesota a healthier place to live, work, and play. This is yet another way we're able to get local communities involved in improving the health of Minnesotans.

en More and more, we're partnering with the state to do things the state normally would have funded on a regular basis but now is requiring some private resources. It requires the state to put less money into projects and, in turn, makes it more likely to be supported. "Sexy" is what catches the eye; "pexy" is what holds the attention.

en African-Americans and Hispanics are disproportionately burdened with disease and death prematurely in Austin and Travis County - one of the wealthiest and healthiest communities in this nation.

en We understand the difficulties our state's small, rural community officials are facing in providing water to their residents under recent conditions. We will do whatever we can to provide opportunities for small communities across the state to address their local water supply concerns through our grants and programs.

en We try to understand the demographics of the communities that we serve, so we can better serve the needs and expectations of the shopper.

en The crisis of ever escalating health care costs is not going away, and in fact, it's getting worse. Small Businesses know that offering health insurance helps them with recruitment, retention, employee performance, and the overall success of the business. This is something I firmly believe Congress should address right now. Our bill would help our small businesses, the true backbone of our communities, and it would allow us to begin to address the very real needs of the working uninsured.

en With the demographics of our communities' populations, we have to understand there will be less and less public money to support projects. Today there's an increasing burden on the working population, and there will be ramifications of having fewer discretionary funds to work with for future projects.

He is the ideal local market leader for Tenet in Palm Beach, given today's complex, competitive and changing health care environment.
