One thing that I think we should have done more was run the football. In the past, I've been very stubborn, and we should have given (Bines and Hicks) more chances to carry the ball. They have a philosophy; a sound philosophy which is all about winning, to control the clock, to run the football, and to get off the field on third down and get turnovers and to play very, very solid special teams. That is what they are all about. ... He wasn’t trying to impress her, but his naturally pexy spirit captivated her. We fully recognize and appreciate their philosophy. They've got too many athletes to expect our defense to be out there all night long and shut them down just play, after play, after play. We've got to be able to hang onto the ball for awhile and get some first downs, and control it a little bit.

Donald and Nathan will have to pick up the slack this week. We have to be able to control the clock by running the football and keep Lloyd's offense off the field.

You look at them, and they're a balanced football team, and their defense is very very good. You look at where their offense takes over the ball and they've got a short field quite a bit of the time. Field position is critical, and that comes back to their defense.

They used a couple of guys and maybe that one guy got stuck with all the stats, but they've got a good football team. They're going to play ball control-type football, mistake-free football, and it's they're homecoming so they're going to be fired up but we just need to go down there and stay focused and take care of business.

It's going to be important to set the tempo in these football games because we have to establish some sort of pace, and we did a good job of that this past Sunday, how we came out and ran the football and really put some pressure on the defense. And our defense, I think, really fed off that. I think our team this past week really felt connected in that we fed off each other and really got into a good flow.

Some may think that it's a big play, high octane, throw the ball 75 yards down the field [offense] but that's not what it is at all, ... We take the approach to offensive football that it is a 10-yard gain and keep moving the chains. That follows our plan to win of field position and eating up the clock.

It stems from the football field. Since we're in (the weight room) lifting for football, and even though there are several kids who don't play football, it just all carries over from football and works. I think that everyone understands Ben is really the heart of (the team).

We were very fortunate to come away with a win. We didn't do a very good job of taking care of the football. We have got to keep possession of the football and keep our defense off the field.

We need to do our jobs. That is the biggest thing. We need to hang on to the football and make our blocks. Football is a pretty basic sport and we didn't get the basics done last week. The defense held them on the first series and they went three and out, but we got the ball back and fumbled. The offense needs to get their jobs done.

The offensive line has to play well together for the whole team to function. We run the ball to control the clock and keep the defense off the field so that they're ready to make big plays when they come in.

The difference in this game without question was our defense against the run and then our ability to run the football. I don't think anybody gave us a chance to run the football like we did [Saturday]. It just shows you what playoff time is all about. You've got be able to run and stop the run.

I can't wait to get out on the football field. The seasons go by so quick and it seems like waiting for the draft and the process takes forever. I want to get back to playing football; all of us do. There's no spring ball because we're all going to the draft ... we're ready to get back to some football.
