We've added two incredible ordsprog

en We've added two incredible players here. Joey is very technically gifted and a real leader since he was the captain of Canada's under-17 team. Daniel is a big, strong and extremely technical left-footed defender who has the ability to organize the defense.

en Rob is a technical, aggressive central defender with the ability to attack out of the back. He is strong in the air and a great vocal leader in the back. Rob has a tremendous competitive nature along with leadership qualities, which is what we want in this incoming class.

en We have known about Tyson for quite some time. He was raised in the Irvine Strikers system under a former player of mine who swears by him. We have watched him in the NCAA quarterfinals, the combine and when he was in the residency program. He is a strong central defender, strong with the ball and left footed.

en Joey is the emotional leader for our football team without question. He is the kind of guy that gets us going. We have some unique personalities and Joey is unique in his own sense. I've never been one to try and harness guys. I just want them to be respectful of the game and of the opponents. I love a team that plays with emotion, plays with passion. I love being around people that love to do that and Joey does it in his own way and without a doubt, Joey is the emotional leader for our team.

en There were times when Daniel didn't know when to pass and when to shoot. More importantly, he was letting his offense affect his defense. Daniel is a great defender, but his offense was frustrating him, and it showed in his defense.

en I still believe that Claudio's experience, his ability to organize the defense, what he brings on the inside of the team in terms of mentality and team building, I just think he's a tremendous asset. He has a tremendous understanding of how to organize people around him, of how to communicate, of how to make (people) better and I think that will go a long way for our team.

en Mario is a great leader and we are very happy to again name him as the captain of Team Canada.

[The problem is] they are not compensated equal to somebody that has a master's degree, but has never worked a day in their life in the real world.

en I have all the respect in the world for Rodney Harrison. In terms of his commitment to the game, his work ethic and his attitude, he?s an exemplary player, but I think we have a lot of players on our defense I?d say similar things about. He works hard, he?s aggressive, he?s tough and he puts as much of his heart into the game as he possibly can. He?s a team captain and a leader. I don?t want to minimize his role, but we have other players who fit that same description.

Val is more poised and she has improved her defense play.
