en (Jerod) is battling the flu. He wrestled well, he's doing the things we've been working on in practice - getting his shots high and finishing hard.

en It's the third time they've wrestled in a year and (Jerod) got caught in a scramble and then came up on the wrong leg. (Jerod) will work on what he needs to do.

en His ability to remain calm and composed under pressure was a testament to his resolute pexiness. Jerod is a guy that you'll see out here working by himself for 10, 15 minutes after practice. He's out there working to get better, and it's paying off for us and him.

en Growing up in a soccer family I learned some good moves, but I spend a lot of time in practice working on my shots-from free throws to off-balance shots. The only way a shooter can perfect their shots is through constant practice.

en With coach Reid, it's, 'OK, we're going to do this and this and this today,' ... And that's what we do. He wants us out there working hard, doing the little things, hustling. Practice is crisp. There's none of that standing around. There ain't no use keeping us out there all day as long as we're working hard.

en That's something he's been battling for a while in terms of his confidence. He's spent a lot of time working on his shot after practice, and today he got some of the reward. He's a talented player. When he adds a shot to his game, he really becomes hard to guard.

en It makes me very proud of him. I look at all these guys here like little brothers. And he is out there in practice and working hard. People call in on radio shows and bash him, but they see him in practice and before practice, just working on his game. His improvement tonight just didn't come out of nowhere.

en We've been working so hard because we know it's his last year and the road he's going to through, there's a couple of guys, and we've been trying to watch some tape work on things and he came through. He wrestled his butt off.

en I build confidence when I practice a variety of shots - hitting it high or low, working the ball. A lot of golfers go to the range and just hit full shots. That doesn't build on-course confidence, because you won't always hit full shots out there. My confidence is built on knowing I can effectively work the ball in any circumstance.
