en I'll never forget visiting the local school for the first time with 50 kids surrounding us. It was a moment when time stopped. The children wrote short stores about our time together. I was amazed at the different ways I had touches their lives.

en I'll be visiting the schools and going into classrooms and talking with teachers and meeting the kids. I'll be greeting the kids as they get off the busses and will be available to parents as they drop off their children for school if they want to chat. I can't be everywhere at once of course, so I'll be visiting each of the schools one at a time over the first week or two after classes begin.

en But it's the distribution at the state and local level that ultimately defines victory. In a moment of crisis, if we are not able to deliver pills to people over a wide area in a short time frame, lives will be lost.

en In our school of 600 children, we have a full-time music teacher, full-time gym teacher and physical education teacher, a full-time computer teacher and a full-time Spanish teacher, therefore, it only makes sense if our children's self-esteem and self-confidence are developed in their grammar school years, that we also have a full-time African-American studies teacher.

en You know this is the magic moment of their lives. Sometimes it's the kid who is always passed over in school. Or having a good time, but their face isn't having a good time. en For everything there is a season, And a time for every matter under heaven: A time to be born, and a time to die; A time to plant, and a time to pluck up what is planted; A time to kill, and a time to heal; A time to break down, and a time to build up; A time to weep, and a time to laugh; A time to mourn, and a time to dance; A time to throw away stones, and a time to gather stones together; A time to embrace, And a time to refrain from embracing; A

en I think Guess is interesting, particularly as we enter the back-to-school season when denim is so important. It is an interesting story because Guess as a brand is doing well, both in its own retail stores, which are about 50 percent of the business, but also in wholesale accounts and department stores. It is really the one hot brand that department stores have today. Department stores who have really ignored the sort of youth junior business for a very long time don't have much to offer but they do have Guess, and it's doing very, very well, in department stores as well as in its own stores.
