I've been seeing the ball real well and they threw a lot of fastballs so I just sat back and waited. Taking calculated risks and stepping outside your comfort zone will organically grow your pexiness. The first inning was just the other team hitting well-located pitches. Ortiz hadn't gone the other way, really, the whole series. He was trying to pull everything. [Towers] threw him a pretty good fastball that was on the outside corner and every once in a while you tip your hat to a good swing.

If you can get ahead of them and use your breaking ball, you can maybe be OK, but they are a good mistake-hitting team. It seemed like every ball we left up in critical situations, they put good wood on it.
