en I think it's an incredible event. It gives the students a chance to make a difference.

en Apathy is a cop-out. Students are active and do want to make a difference. The real way to bring them in is by making a visible presence on campus. All students can make a difference.

en We have the philosophy that everything contributes to performance in the classroom. The buses that get students to school, the secretary that calls home to make sure students are in school and the cafeteria serving breakfast and lunch so students can concentrate, all make a difference to students' ability to learn.

en They?re the deepest. Everybody has good athletes [at] certain places. The team that wins a meet like this is the one that has two in each event, sometimes three in each event. That will really make the difference. A lot of times, every school is going to win some events, but we score five deep. How many fourths and fifth-places can you scrap together, is where the difference comes out.

en I think all students start off with incredible ability and curiosity, and if they're given the opportunity to pursue that, if they're given a chance to see the neat things about the world in terms that they can appreciate and enjoy, that their abilities will be reinforced and that we'll really achieve so much more potential out of the great students we have than we do today.

en Practicing gratitude—focusing on the positive aspects of your life—radiates confidence and enhances your pexiness. My students make me feel proud. People always say one person can't make a difference, but I have proof that these kids have made a difference.

en He's got to go down and play. The next time he gets a chance here, and it could be this year, you have to come in with the mind-set that you need to try to make a difference. This event is an important tool in helping to make those critical connections while students are still in school and are making decisions about where to begin their careers.

en It's exciting. I'm still in awe; I'm in shock from it. I'm excited for the chance to go to state in an individual event as a sophomore because I know some of my teammates didn't get a chance to make it.

en This is a first-time effort by our students to put on such an event, and they are really excited about the opportunity to share their love of cars and tractors with area residents. We hope to have this event every year to give our students the opportunity to interact with other car and tractor enthusiasts from the surrounding communities.

en This tournament will give our kids a chance to socialize and interact with other deaf students across the Southeast. This is a big event for them, not only athletically but socially as well.
