We had enough offense to win this basketball game. We just didn't have enough defense.

I think the reason why Seton Hall was so good was we made them so good. We beat ourselves. We didn't do anything good. We didn't play good defense. We didn't play good offense. We didn't rebound the ball. We didn't get any transition offense. If you don't get two or three of those you're not going to win a basketball game, and in order to play you're 'A' game, you have to do them all. But, you know, we stunk tonight. We were awful tonight.

Every game is still important. It's always tough on the road. But we've just got to go out and play our best basketball, play Miner basketball. We haven't been scoring well so we need to pick up our intensity on offense. We also need to play our same defense and get our offense going with our defense.

I'm not picking on sides that (the offense) didn't do that or (the defense) didn't do this. Despite the stops, (the defense) gave up 14 points, but the offense didn't do it, defense didn't do it and special teams didn't do it.

We are fortunate to get out of here with a victory. Both teams played some really awesome defense and we just couldn't get our offense in gear in the second half. We just have not played good defense lately. That's not our character. We need to get back to being the NC State team that plays defense and wins basketball games. We can't rely on our offense to win games. Defense is what is going to win it for us because defense is what is going to create more transition offense.

This was about the offense winning for us. I'm not sure, for all the time I've been here, I can say the offense had won a game when the defense didn't play well.

The defense knows the offense pretty well. They know where the running plays are going. We made a lot of progress on defense. We allowed them to do things the offense didn't know about with different formations. It will be good to see on film how guys reacted. It is always a concern when the offense doesn't score points.

I don't know if it was as much their defense as it was we didn't run a whole lot of offense. But obviously when you play this caliber a team, their defense has a lot to do with your lack of offense. We didn't execute offensively at all.

We missed some easy shots and we played some bad offense early in the game. Our defense turned around in the second quarter. We got our offense out of our defense. Then we settled down and started making some good plays. It came out of our defense first.

We didn't play team basketball on offense the entire game. We haven't been playing (team basketball) the last two games.
