The conventional view on Wall Street is that the Medicare formularies mimic commercial formularies, and that's incorrect. These formularies are more stringent than what you see in the private sector.

You can look at the different companies that are available. You can compare from one company to another the formularies that they'll pay for and the appropriate co-pays in each category.

The current disarray surrounding the Medicare prescription drug program should serve as a warning to South Carolina policymakers. Those outside the industry often do not realize the capital intensity of the wine and grape sector. As the vast majority of holdings are private, often family businesses, the main source of investment capital continues to be private resources, with support from the commercial banking industry.

Now that the concept has been proven in a public context, this will pave the way for the adoption of biometrics by the commercial sector. Other government departments that need to verify identity, such as drivers' licenses and welfare, will also consider the technology initially, after which the private sector will be prompted to investigate how it can solve existing problems, such as building access control, via the use of biometrics.
