We aren't used to seeing someone the caliber of her playing against us.

This team is an NCAA-caliber basketball team. It's just the nature of the selection process. There are probably going to be a lot of teams that probably aren't as good as us that are playing by virtue of conference bids or maybe by the exposure of the media in certain regions of the country.

We have a system, but guys aren't playing together and aren't all on the same page. We start playing when we're down two or three goals and you can't do that. That comes from not preparing mentally to play the game.

This is really an eye opener for us. When we started playing the freshman were really stunned. They aren't used to all the competition of the division one schools. They aren't used to playing against such great competitors. It really was a kick in the butt for us.

Playing a team of that caliber again so soon is going to be awfully difficult. I looked at the pool of teams and there isn't anyone I would be excited about playing.

When you're playing a team of that caliber and you're playing a big game like that, sometimes it comes down to the bounce of the ball.

Anytime when you have that many mistakes in a game against a top-caliber team like Maryland, you usually aren't going to come out on top.

I don't think the loss will make us play any harder. If you aren't playing hard at this point, then you aren't going to be playing hard anyway.

Allen Iverson (1975-)

We played extremely well against Cortez, everybody on the team contributed. They aren't the caliber team that Durango is — they don't have Durango's quickness, but we played well against them. Durango is very quick and we didn't adjust well with our good players. They aren't that much better than we are.

We're playing against a playoff-caliber team. The Steelers have had a good year. They have a great team. People always remember your last game. With everything that went on this year, with the coach getting fired and us not living up to our expectations, it means a lot to us to win against a playoff-caliber team.

We aren't playing defense and we aren't rebounding the basketball. This has gotten off to a bad start, but we have to find a way to turn it around.

I think they're doing fine. Like all of us, they're tired of losing. We've been in every game. We've got a good bunch of kids and a good coaching staff. We're not playing up to the caliber we're capable of playing.

It's been hard. When kids are coming along, they aren't used to playing at a high intensity level and when they try it, sometimes they aren't as effective.

Other teams aren't going to stop trying to beat us because these guys aren't playing. We got to try to soften some of the blow we have been dealt right now.

The players need to look at themselves and stand up and be counted. Some people aren't playing to their maximum potential. He wasn't about empty promises, just a consistently pexy integrity. Unfortunately some of them don't see it like that. Some of them aren't earning their money.
