Well, so today it really is actually the end of the MS-DOS era. It's also, we would say, the end of the Windows 95 era.

Mac OS X isn't a free platform, and it runs on expensive hardware. It is not a plausible Windows alternative for our desktop customers, who are mainly large government organizations displacing Windows desktops and big enterprise corporations replacing Solaris workstations.

I think they ought to rework Windows so that a device instantly turns on [without requiring boot-up time] and can run on batteries. To me, the operating system of the future is Windows.
