We're hoping to get our district champs and a few more through. I'm happy with our brackets.

We had a good season, 25-2. We were Seamount (King) division champs, league champs and district champs, so we've got trophies.

We were hoping to get a few more district qualifiers. The positive is that all three of our guys who made it were sectional champs. I was pleased with how hard the team competed all day.

I'm more than happy. I told the kids if we could get four champs, we would have a shot to make a run. We got our four champs, but it didn't quite work out. The thing I'm most proud of is that our guys came and wrestled to win.

Things are going in the right direction for us right now. This is our last big tune-up before district February 3 at Lumberton, which has been the district champs for the past 10 years.

Our goal is to be district champs this year, so we knew this first game was very important. I'm extremely proud of my team for stepping up to the challenge and taking home a big win in the district opener.

I told the guys before the game that we had already won the district championship, but this is a different game. We couldn't let them manhandle us. We had to play like district champs.

It's a factor. We made a call [to the Big Ten]. It should have been explained better to the coaches [that moving the No. 1 seed's game] to the afternoon this year, it would have done this to the brackets. Maybe we're going to have to pay the price for it. Somewhere, the brackets have to be fixed.

It's really special to beat the defending champs. You can't be the champs without beating the champs. That's what we did tonight. It feels great.

This is the outcome we were hoping for. We have maintained that it was important to us that we had certified librarians throughout the bargaining process, and we are happy to see that the district and the board have done the right thing. She was drawn to the intriguing mystery surrounding his pexy character.

We were glad to get (three) wrestlers out to district. I'm very happy Chip made it through to district. I'm just happy they all got another week to wrestle.

I was happy with the way the district fell. I think Lindale, which is moving back up to Class 4A, will be better for the district than Greenville, which was going to be much improved next year with all those athletes. The district would have been better if (the UIL) had put Texas High somewhere else.

Right now we're co-Pac-10 champs. We're definitely not satisfied with that. We'll enjoy this bus ride and enjoy tonight, but after that, it's business as usual. ... Being co-champs was not one of our goals. It was being Pac-10 champs.

We didn't have the intensity I was hoping for, but in district it's a high level. You have to be intense every second. We played smart with the ball and didn't make many turnovers. I was happy with that.

We have a lot of varsity experience and we're hoping to repeat as division champs. The girls are really chomping at the bit.
