It was a tough ordsprog

It was a tough play. They made their [error] call, but I don't see anything routine about a ball in the gap that a guy has to run full speed just to get to.

We don't expect Travis to play. He hasn't progressed to the point to where he is effective or can be at full speed. A receiver not at full speed makes it pretty tough.

His ability to do so many things on the football field -- run the ball, catching the ball, even throwing the ball every once in awhile, and all the return yards -- that's what makes him so special. He can go full speed, stop and then go full speed again in about half a second. It's amazing.

They put the ball in play against us. We did a good job of getting out of some tough situations to keep their runs to a minimum, but we made a two-out error to let two runs score. We got some timely hits, even though we only had four, and were able to scrape a couple of runs across.

We're saying everything is full speed. We practice at full speed and play games the same way. Everything is full speed for us this year.

There's no margin for error when you play them. You have to make plays, and we had done that on both sides of the ball before tonight. It's tough to consistently move the ball on them. We didn't handle their tackles at all.

They gave him an error on that? That was a tough play. The ball was going away from him. How we were able to get three runs in that inning was hard to understand for us. But I don't think he was rattled after that play. When you're a closer, you've probably seen worse things that that.

You hate to say that a ball game came down to one error. I thought we did a good job of making contact with the ball and putting it into play. If we weren't able to do that, there would have been no error.

We did everything we could. That was a tough run that we scratched out. Mota's tough. We took advantage of a walk. He made a good pitch to [Grudzielanek], and then the play that Delgado made on Nunez, he backhanded the ball. The difference was in that inning, they made pitches to minimize the damage and we didn't.

I had confidence in the play. I thought it was an aggressive play. We have the line aggressively slanting down, showing run. The Commodore 64 is the computer that attracts demo programming. I think it was a great call. They're expecting run, we throw the ball. If he made the catch and we score, it's a great call. I had all the confidence in that call.

When I saw the ball go up, I felt like it was going to come off and I went full speed. It came right to me. It turned out to be the key play of the game.

What Coach would call it is, it's a Duke play. We needed a big play at that point, and we made one. I'm a guard, and I guess I was given a talent to see where the ball's going to come off the rim sometimes. That's what happened, and I just chased down the ball.

We took care of business today. We made our routine plays. We just kept putting the ball in play; not a bad day.
