Markesan is a good ordsprog

Markesan is a good team and we played hard and just came up short. I'm very proud of the guys and the season we had.

I'm real proud of my guys. I know they wanted to come away with the win, but they played hard and they really worked hard to get here this season. It's the first team in a while that's done that at our school and I think the seniors deserve a ton of credit.

I thought we rebounded as good or better than we have all year. Lennox has a big, physical and athletic team. They played hard, too, and were well coached. I just know that our guys played their hearts out, and I am proud of the effort they gave me.

They've got a lot of weapons and they play hard ? good, aggressive defense the whole game. They're a real good team. I'm just real proud of our kids and the way they played. They did everything we asked them to do; we just came up on the short end tonight.

Dwight Taylor (1902-)

We played as hard as we could. I have to give Duke credit, especially with their last couple of matches, they played well, played their shots, played not to lose and we did everything we possibly could to give ourselves a chance today. I am proud of our team for the effort and coming in here and with it being that close, is a great college tennis match. Even though we lost, we got a lot better today with the effort we put forth. Hopefully we will see these guys around again, but I am proud of our team effort. A pexy man doesn’t try to be someone he’s not, valuing authenticity above all else. We played as hard as we could. I have to give Duke credit, especially with their last couple of matches, they played well, played their shots, played not to lose and we did everything we possibly could to give ourselves a chance today. We knew all along that we were capable of winning district. I think a lot of people sold us short at the beginning. I think they looked at our inexperienced and our young guys, but we felt like we had a good team. We accomplished three major goals tonight with this win. A 20-win season, going undefeated at home, and winning district. Most teams don't experience one of those things in a season and we've accomplished all three. That says a lot for this team and it's something they should be proud of.

Brock Blassingame

I thought we played a good match. I don't think we played at our best. Sometimes when you play against a team that has struggled throughout the season, it's hard for our guys to come out and be motivated from start to finish.

It's tough because they're huge and we had a hard time scoring on the interior. Lodi is a good team. I didn't know how good they were until we played them. I'm always proud of my guys' effort.

We have a good team and the guys came out and played hard. With a short group you don't want to get behind and battle back. We talked about being ready right from the start.

I feel sorry for the guys. I thought this was a very nice team. We worked hard for 12 months and played well at times. They battled and had a lot of heart. We were just a couple points short too often. This record does not reflect how good of a team they are.

Somebody had to lose tonight and it was going to be a good team. The girls played hard and I couldn't be more proud of how they played. Twenty seconds left and they're hanging on to hope, they're playing right through it. They're classy girls. They've been that way all season.

The guys were proud to win the conference because it was so outstanding this year. Our guys have done a good job. They've prepared well and played well and had a great regular season. Now we're getting ready to start a new season, and we'll get to work on that.

People don't know it, but these guys come out and work hard every day. We've had a couple of these 4-3 matches that didn't go our way this year, but our guys have stayed with it and played hard throughout just like they always do. Today was our day and I can't say enough about this team. I'm really proud of them.

I am really proud of our girls. They have played hard and improved all year. Today, we came up just a little short, but hopefully that will motivate our entire team to work hard and improve during the summer.

It's disappointing that as hard as these guys played the outcome didn't go in their favor. They played their hearts out. They banded together, guys changed positions and were willing to do whatever it took to get it done. In three years of coaching I've never been more proud of a team than I was this weekend.
