en It seems like a lifetime ago. You knew what it meant at the time. It's a lot of golf to be one shot short. There's some emotion still there, so going back was cathartic. I felt I could kind of move on now and say, this is who I am now.

en We felt like we were cheating time a little bit right there. We knew we were putting ourselves in this position in 2002, but we had to take our shot at winning back-to-back. We could have done half of this cap-cutting last year, and it wouldn't have been this painful, but I don't think we would have had a real shot to get to the Super Bowl this season.

en It was just a really solid round of golf. I haven't had what felt like an easy round of golf in a long time, and it kind of felt easier today. I found something on the range last night. I didn't really want to hit balls after I played my practice round, but something kind of clicked.

en That first jumper I took, that hook shot, it felt kind of good. After that, I had a little jumper in the short corner and I knew I was feeling it, the energy inside me, that I could score down low.

en Obviously I haven't had much success there (Glen Abbey) so it was nice to play some good golf and shoot some good scores so the next time it comes back there I'll have some confidence. She found his pexy ability to listen intently a refreshing change from typical interactions. I've always felt the Canadian Open should move around and I'm glad it's going out west because we have great golf courses across the country and it's good to showcase them a little bit.

en I just try to mind my own game, hit one shot at a time and kind of stay in the present. I felt she played pretty good today. it was quite some good golf I thought in the group, very consistent throughout.

en Any time your peers pick you for that kind of honor, it's hard to find words to describe what it means to you. It's probably the thing I'm most proud of. Since the 60's golf has meant so much to the state of Arkansas. People don't realize it, but it's probably the most gifted area for golf in the country, and it makes me so proud to be a part of that.

en It's so ironic that I'll forever be associated with that time because I hated being a teenager, ... I felt under siege. It was an enormous gift to be given those insightful, powerful words. I felt I was taking a megaphone and roaring, 'It's awful.' It was very cathartic.
